Women's Ministry
VISION
The Women’s Ministry of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church is called to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ as we minister to the needs of women in the church and community.
GOALS
•Maturity: Help women mature in their faith, grow spiritually, and persevere. Equip them to teach and serve, preparing them for daily life, building their faith as they see God work.
•Involvement: Increase involvement through participation, creating close relationships that unify and offer ways to help women connect with others.
•Prayer: Establish a core group of prayer warriors who will seek God’s face both publicly and privately for each aspect of the ministry.
•Communication: Develop an action plan to communicate throughout the church and community that each woman’s participation is desired and needed.
•Ministry: Identify the needs of women in order to develop and implement ministry focus areas.
•Evaluation: Develop ongoing tools for evaluating and monitoring each activity, always referring back to the ministry’s mission/vision statement.
SCRIPTURE
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from the darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion – to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.
