Missions

"And Jesus came and said to them, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.'"
Matthew 28:18-20

GOING
Jesus tells us in scripture to go make disciples and at Mt. Hebron there are numerous opportunities to do so. Check out the Church Calendar to see what's coming up and get plugged in!

GIVING One way to sum it up would be "giving facilitates going". The IMB website shows the average cost to support an individual missionary as of April 2011 was $46,700. Our contributions through the Cooperative Program and the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering year after year help equip missionaries at home and abroad. On top of that, we hold fundraisers to help send congregation members on short term mission trips around the world.

PRAYING
There are countless opportunities given to serve around us and abroad, but sometimes schedules and circumstances don't allow us to participate. Prayer, however, is something we can and should do that isn't limited by our geographic position! All church members are informed and asked to fervently pray about the various mission projects going on throughout the year at Mt. Hebron. Also, our Women On Mission group meets the first Tuesday of each month at 9:30 AM. Check the Lifeline or Sunday Bulletin for locations.
